During the Budma 2026 trade fair, we actively participated in discussions on prefabrication in residential and public investments.
On 4 February 2026, as part of the SEDG conference devoted to prefabrication in development and municipal projects, Kamil Kowalczyk, Member of the Management Board of Unihouse S.A., gave a lecture entitled
‘Modular construction as a tool for the development of local housing policy – the experience of Unihouse S.A. in cooperation with local governments and SIMs’.
In projects implemented with local governments and SIMs, the predictability of the process and the pace of implementation are key. Our projects in Trzebiatów and Kamienna Góra show that prefabrication organises the investment and allows for faster delivery of flats for use – without compromising on quality.
At the end of the conference, Kamil Kowalczyk also took part in a debate entitled ‘Prefabrication in development projects’ together with Tomasz Balcerowski and Marek Beśka, where the discussion focused on the scale, repeatability and role of modular technology in the development of the housing market.
On the same day, we also participated in the inauguration of the Wood and Wooden Structures Centre at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences and an expert discussion entitled
‘Challenges for wooden construction in Poland. Facts, myths, barriers and opportunities for development’ on the Stage of Ideas. This is an important voice of the industry on the future of wooden prefabrication, its potential and opportunities for development.
We would like to thank the organisers for the invitation and all participants for the substantive discussions.
