Advantages of the technology

The most important advantage of modular buildings is construction time - it takes no more than 6 months, from the design stage to the actual implementation of the building.

In the case of traditional construction, 18 months is the minimum, required time.

Even though the building is made of timber, there is no fire risk – the timber framing is shielded with non-flammable, construction materials. Module-based buildings are more soundproof, in comparison to brick houses, and at the same time they are highly durable. The factory in Bielsk Podlaski cooperates with scientists at Bialystok Technical University, who test the modules for noise and tightness. No product leaves the factory without being tested for conformity with relevant acoustics and tightness standards.

Modular houses can be built on embankments, rocky ground, marshy ground, sandy soil or even on the roof of a pre-standing building. They rest on a wall base supported by a concrete pile foundation submerged in the ground. The houses can be moved from one place to another or even disassembled and re-assembled in a different place.

They can also be expanded easily by buying additional modules. They can assume practically any architectural form. Our modules bear a resemblance to “giant bricks”, which can be placed one on top of another. UNIHOUSE sets up 5 to 6-floor, wooden residential blocks, which do not resemble any other wooden house.
