The 4th Parlamentarische Fachtagung in Berlin, organized by KOALITION für HOLZBAU, is now behind us!
The event clearly showed that in the European debate on sustainable development, growing importance is being placed on solutions that enable faster, simpler, and more responsible construction. Speeches by politicians from the federal and state governments, along with contributions from industry experts, emphasized how essential technologies are today that shorten the investment process while meeting high quality standards.
The new federal government takes construction issues seriously. “Speed, technology, and tolerance” are the three guiding principles of the future policy of Verena Hubertz, Federal Minister for Housing, Urban Development and Building. The so-called “Bauturbo” has already been launched, and the idea of “Einfach Bauen” (simple construction) has gained new significance thanks to the coalition agreement.
In this context, modular timber construction is emerging as a natural answer to the challenges facing the entire sector.
For us, it was a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences, engage in industry meetings, and take part in the European dialogue on the future of timber construction.
